LENKA Journal of Medical and Health Technology (LJMHT) upholds the highest standards of publication ethics and takes all possible measures against any publication malpractices. The journal follows the ethical guidelines set by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) and expects all parties involved—authors, editors, reviewers, and the publisher—to commit to these ethical standards.

1. Duties of Authors

  • Authors must ensure that their work is original, has not been published elsewhere, and is not under consideration by another journal.

  • All sources used in the research must be appropriately cited.

  • Plagiarism in any form is considered unethical and unacceptable.

  • Authors must disclose any potential conflicts of interest.

  • All individuals who have made significant contributions to the research should be listed as co-authors.

  • Ethical approval must be obtained for studies involving human subjects or animals, and this should be clearly stated in the manuscript.

2. Duties of Editors

  • Editors are responsible for deciding which submitted manuscripts should be published, based on academic merit and relevance to the journal's scope.

  • Editors must ensure a fair and unbiased peer review process and must not disclose information about a manuscript to anyone other than the corresponding author, reviewers, or editorial board.

  • Editors should take appropriate action if ethical concerns arise regarding a submitted or published manuscript.

  • Editors must not use unpublished information from submitted manuscripts for their own research without the authors' express written consent.

3. Duties of Reviewers

  • Reviewers must conduct objective, constructive, and timely reviews that help authors improve their work.

  • Reviewers must maintain the confidentiality of the manuscript and should not use any information obtained during the review process for personal gain.

  • Reviewers should alert the editor to any substantial similarity or overlap between the manuscript under consideration and any other published work.

  • Reviewers must disclose any conflicts of interest that could affect their objectivity.

4. Duties of the Publisher

  • The publisher (PT Lentera Wicaksana IDN) ensures that best practices are maintained in all aspects of publishing, including ethical oversight, archiving, and copyright.

  • The publisher will work closely with editors to handle allegations of research misconduct or ethical breaches in a transparent and responsible manner.

5. Plagiarism and Misconduct

LJMHT has zero tolerance for plagiarism, data fabrication, falsification, and other forms of research misconduct. All submitted manuscripts are screened using plagiarism detection software. If misconduct is identified, appropriate corrective action will be taken, which may include retraction of the article.
